It brings together the leading lending platforms, investors, and service providers in the industry for unparalleled educational, networking, and business development opportunities. This year’s conference is expected to attract more than 4,000 attendees comprised of platforms, investors, service providers, and media.

LeaseQ CEO and founder Vernon Tirey will be one of four LendIt USA panelists at an alternative investing workshop titled “Equipment Financing” on Monday, April 11 from 1:30-2 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Ben Gold of Quick Bridge Funding and also feature panelists Miguel Estien of GE Capital and Blake Johnson of IMCA Capital.

“The alternative finance market continues to grow at a rapid pace and provide a variety of new financing models that have emerged outside of the traditional finance system,” Tirey said. “With pent up demand from borrowers and vendors in the marketplace ready to burst, equipment finance is poised explode. The industry surpassed the $1 trillion mark in 2015 and growth is forecasted to continue in 2016.”

The panel will cover the unique nature of equipment finance marketplace and leave participants with a clear understanding of the state of equipment finance. While most marketplaces like Amazon, Travelocity and eBay have two parties (a buyer and a seller), equipment financing today requires a three-party marketplace with borrowers, lenders and equipment sellers. Add the fact that there are different classes of credit (A-D) and upwards of 30 equipment vertical markets (e.g. medical, farming, construction, transportation, etc.), a variety of business types (corporation, sole proprietor, municipal, etc.) and a variety of loans and leases for large, medium and small ticket financing, and you have yourself a messy, fractured and archaic marketplace that’s ripe for automation.

Tirey specializes in rapid growth and enterprise automation solutions. Prior to LeaseQ he led consulting firms that delivered customer strategy, analytics, enterprise CRM, and online marketing solutions to fortune 500 and financial services companies such as Bank of America, Schwab, Allstate and Wells Fargo. In prior roles, Vernon was CEO at DiaLogos, Managing Partner at Peppers & Rogers Group and most recently, CMO at Insurance.com.
