GE Names a New Vice Chair

downloadGeneral Electric has a new vice chair. Her name is Beth Comstock, and she is the first woman to hold that title at GE.

Comstock, 55, is the company’s chief marketing officer who will now oversee GE Lighting, GE Ventures, and GE’s vice chair of Business Innovations.

“As we advance our digital capabilities, create new markets and build partnerships that enhance GE’s inventive culture and brand, Beth continues to be instrumental in delivering better, faster outcomes for our customers,” said GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt.

In 1998, Comstock became a GE company officer when she was named vice president of corporate communications. Comstock was GE’s first Chief Marketing Officer in more than 20 years and has a lot of experience in digital marketing.
