Our latest brand ambassador is Mark Cook, Sales Executive at Boston Showcase.
Mark is no stranger to the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. Before starting at Boston Showcase about four years ago, Mark spent 32 years working for Libbey, selling glassware for various industries, including foodservice, retail, B2B, industrial, and more.
After such a long stint at one place, Mark was excited to switch gears and dive into the foodservice dealer part of the industry. He was thrilled to find Boston Showcase, a top-rated, family-owned dealer in the area, and he continues to appreciate the great culture that has been built there.
“We are very customer service oriented,” shares Mark. “Management is always very hands-on and helpful, and you’ll always get an answer immediately. To them, we are all people, not just numbers.”
Boston Showcase specializes in design and build services, and Mark applauds their fantastic design team. Together, the Boston Showcase team has the opportunity to be involved in a project from start to finish. From designing the space to ordering the equipment, supplies, and furniture and installing the items, they aim to provide outstanding service to every customer.
Particularly for those large projects, Mark is glad to be able to offer financing as a solution to help his customers get the items they need. “Financing completes the package!” he explains. “Being able to offer my customers financing options for their orders is a game changer.”
Mark loves the fast-paced environment and enjoys being involved in different projects for their customers. “This industry is crazy, but in a good way! It is nonstop and busy; there is always something new happening, and we have so many opportunities to learn new things.”
The day after our interview, Mark was looking forward to spending his day at an all-day seminar presented by E3 Reps about Perlick bar items.
Mark chose Davios in New England as his restaurant to receive a gift card to. They are one of their customers, and Mark looks forward to indulging in their cold seafood platter that includes lobster, crab, and shrimp. He says it is to die for!

KL: How does being able to offer financing help your customers?
MC: Offering financing helps customers get the items they need without putting out a ton of cash upfront. I’ve been working with a smoothie chain for the last 3 years. Their new store build-outs are between 50-100K. When we brought on LeaseQ as a partner, I mentioned financing to them, and they were thrilled to have that option. They love that they can open stores without being out of pocket so much. They’re going to be opening their 7th location soon, and they’re glad to be able to go to LeaseQ for their financing needs.
KL: What three traits do you think are most important in a Sales Rep when it comes to customer service?
KL: What is something that most people don’t know about you?
MC: I love to build things. I recently built an expanded deck and shed in my backyard. I also love fishing and bird hunting.
